Zack Sabre Jr. To Face Philippines’ Jake De Leon At Dexcon DEKADA

Dexcon revealed Zack Sabre Jr.’s opponent for his upcoming Philippine wrestling debut to be Mr. Philippine Wrestling: Jake De Leon. The news came as a joint announcement alongside Manila Wrestling Federation‘s postponement of their upcoming Republika event.

Unfortunately, MWF: Republika 2024 will be postponed to June 9 at the UPFI Media Center.

Furthermore, the match is advertised as an International Dream Match with the Frontman of New Japan Pro-Wrestling‘s TMDK and leader of Manila Wrestling Federation’s Oro Plata Mata factions set to collide. Though not officially confirmed, Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Jake De Leon is expected to main event the DEKADA show.

Dexcon DEKADA will take place at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City this coming May 26. Tickets to the show have unfortunately sold out for interested attendees. However, Dexcon will post the event’s V.O.D. sometime after the show.

Brief background on Jake De Leon

Mr. Philippine Wrestling Jake De Leon has been wrestling for nearly a decade. As a pioneer of the contemporary wrestling scene in the Philippines, he is regarded as the top in-ring competitor in the country. He is a record 2-time and current MWF Pinoy Wrestling Champion, and he has competed all across Southeast Asia. Jake De Leon also participated in WWE’s tryout in Shanghai, China back in July 2019.
