Liverpool are further strengthening their recruitment team ahead of the summer transfer window.

With the Reds losing manager Jurgen Klopp, even more focus is going into bringing in the best players.

Given the club cannot compete financially with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, they have to be more creative.

Per the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are hiring David Woodfine as assistant sporting director to Richard Hughes.

The latter has only recently arrived from Bournemouth, with new football CEO Michael Edwards overseeing.

Woodfine has worked at Liverpool in the past, joining from West Ham back in 2014.
