Will Anderson Jr., the No. 3 overall selection of the 2023 NFL Draft, propelled the Houston Texans to the AFC playoffs as a rookie last season. He helped the franchise capture an AFC South Division title and win a playoff game.
Anderson, the only two-time Unanimous All-American in Alabama football history, made his first Pro Bowl and was selected to the NFL’s All-Rookie Team by the Professional Football Writers Association (PFWA). He finished his first season with 45 total tackles, including 10 for loss and seven sacks. Anderson, a native Georgian, is a finalist for NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year.
The NFL Honors Ceremony is Thursday night at 8 p.m. CT. Anderson has an opportunity to earn a marquee award to cap off a successful rookie campaign. According to NFL on Fox Podcast, he has been voted on by fans as the Defensive Rookie of the Year.
